An Introduction to Budgeting for Fundraising
Date Tuesday 6th August 10.00am-1.00pm
This course helps you to understand how to produce an effective budget for your fundraising applications and in particular how:-
A budget can be annual – a plan for all the costs over a year (known as 'full cost recovery')
It can also be specific to a particular event or project that you are planning.
You'll need a budget in order to apply for a grant, because you have to tell the funder exactly what you need the grant for, and what other money you will be receiving.
A budget helps you to make financial decisions and keep control during the year or during your project.
A budget might change over the year, if your plans change, but having one makes it much less likely that you’ll run out of money by mistake.
This session is aimed at anyone currently working on, or planning, a funding application
