IDAS volunteering opportunity
Are you free to volunteer on Friday afternoons?
IDAS (Independent Domestic Abuse Service) are looking for a volunteer to assist with our local group sessions. IDAS are a specialist charity with many years' experience of supporting and accommodating victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
The volunteer will be empathetic, non-judgmental and confident speaking in a group setting. The volunteer will understand the importance of a trauma-informed approach and can maintain professional boundaries when discussing sensitive and emotional topics.
Please note, due to the nature of group sessions, there may be discussions which could have an emotional impact on the volunteer facilitators; please carefully consider whether this is a suitable role for you. At IDAS we place premium importance on the well-being of our clients and volunteers.
